When you create an account, we collect:

• Account credentials (password is encrypted and never stored in plain text)
• Profile information you choose to provide

2. Health and Fitness Data

With your explicit permission, we may access the following data from Apple HealthKit:

• Step count

Important HealthKit Disclosure: We only read HealthKit data to display your fitness metrics within the App. We do NOT:

• Share HealthKit data with third parties
• Use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Sell HealthKit data to data brokers or any other entities

HealthKit data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Nutrition and Tracking Data

We collect data you manually enter, including:

• Food logs and meal entries
• Calorie and macronutrient information
• Custom recipes and saved meals
• Supplement tracking data
• Workout and exercise logs
• Body measurements and goals

4. Photos and Images

Progress Tracker Photos: Photos you save in the Personal Progress Tracker are stored locally on your device. They are NOT uploaded to our servers.

Social & Profile Photos: If you choose to upload a profile picture or share a post on the social feed, these specific images are uploaded to our secure cloud storage (Firebase) to display them to you and other users.

5. Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the App, including feature usage, interaction patterns, and crash reports to improve our service.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication, data storage, and analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
• FatSecret: For food database and nutritional information. FatSecret Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini: For AI-powered food recognition features. Google Privacy Policy

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App's features
• To personalize your nutrition and fitness experience
• To calculate and display your nutritional targets
• To send important service-related notifications
• To analyze usage patterns and fix technical issues

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party companies that help us operate the App (listed above), under strict data protection agreements.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Subscription and Billing

CPR Nutrition offers auto-renewing subscriptions. When you subscribe:

• Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store
• We do not have access to your payment card information
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
• Data is encrypted at rest in our databases
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
• Backup copies may take up to 90 days to be fully purged

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data from Account Settings
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us immediately so we can remove such information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
